Here are the Japanese prefectures added to the US states 2-2er tierlist and while most of the prefectures are scattered throughout the tierlist, homogenous with the US states, 7 of them rise above the rest as far superior to the US states. The 7th best prefecture, Kochi is higher than 50 of the 51 states + DC, with only New Jersey being among the 7 best prefectures on this list. And among those 7, 3 are several tiers above the rest, having double the average rating than the 4th. However, Kyoto didn't really earn its place at the top since only 2 tournaments occured there since the beginning of 2022(and they were pretty dense tournaments) so they data really isn't sufficient. Almost all Kansai tournaments happen in Osaka, which is why Kyoto, despite being a very populated city and prefecture, only had 2 tournaments in a year and a half.
